Homemaker #1: This and That with Denise Jordan
Denise Jordan is a wife, mother, and grandmother who shares traditional homemaking tips to help today’s homemakers. She’s one of my absolute favorites because I feel right at home watching her videos. I love how her audience is made of people from all walks of life – as I recall, a young man left a comment asking her to teach him how to sew a button back on a dress shirt. It’s little things like this that make Denise a treasure on the internet.
One of my favorite videos of hers is “How to Make Towels Soft and Fluffy Again.” We have had a set of towels for ten years and they’ve definitely seen better days. Before chucking them, I wanted to see if I could salvage them and my internet research led me to Denise.
You can learn more about Denise by checking out her YouTube channel or her website.
Homemaker #2: The Secret Slob
If you’ve ever been completely overwhelmed by The Fly Lady system, you’ll love Steph of The Secret Slob. She breaks the fly lady cleaning system down in bite size pieces and walks you through each step of the way on her YouTube channel (without trying to up-sell you). Steph is so fun-loving and relatable which means she’s a pro at cleaning motivation t. She makes you feel like you’ve been forever friends.

Homemaker #3: Hashtag Big Family
I am lucky enough to call Jess of @hashtagbigfamily a real-life friend. She home schools all six of her children and does incredible decorating on a budget. She’s currently on a mission to normalize NOT cooking and recently launched her second account @nestwithjess where she shares more of her interior design style and her desire to incorporate more black culture into her home .
What I love most about Jess is her transparency. She is not afraid to share real life with her followers – including the hardships. From personal insecurities to job loss and everything in between, her willingness to share has allowed her to make real connections with other moms and help them in the process.

Homemaker #4: Faith and Flour
Watching Robin of Faith and Flour is calm and soothing. She makes homemaking look so easy and simple. She offers amazing tips in her cleaning videos and really lays it out for you to replicate her routines. I love how she shares bits of her family life, her faith, and insights in raising a son with autism.

Homemaker #5: Back Road Bloom
Jayden is all about slowing down and living simply. She values the sage advice of old-fashioned homemakers and works to share a little obtainable slice of vintage homemaking with her readers. Jayden offers a unique look at obtainable homesteading, and I have a few of her holiday projects bookmarked to try this Christmas season. I can’t wait to see what what else she may craft for this coming winter.
